A collision could lead to any number of combined incidents. After a collision, a crew may be facing a MOB, as well as a fire and an onboard medical emergency. The result of a collision varies wildly depending on the size of the other vessel. It is an important reminder that Situational awareness matters, and that we should all be working together to prevent this from occurring.
During Safety Training, a crew should always spend considerable time going over different scenarios that could result in a collision, and how they would triage their response.
